In a press conference for the launch of the IM Talent project – Solutions to provide real Marketing & Sales personnel – a few days ago, Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc – the CEO of IM Group shared: “Currently, a lot of small and medium companies are lacking human resources with expertise in the field of sale and marketing, especially digital marketing “.

“Out of 200 applications for Sale or Marketing positions, only 30 qualified candidates will be filtered out. After screening, there will be about 12 employees who can work,” said the IM Group representative. This is also the situation of human resources in the field of marketing.
According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam on July 1, 2017, more than 98.1% of SMEs in Vietnam lacked digital marketing and sales personnel.
The current salary of a newly graduated marketing staff is about 350-400 USD( 7-9 million VND), the basic salesman’s salary is from 250 to 350 USD (5 to 7 million VND) with a commission percentage.
In particular, according to the representative of IM Group, the salary of employees running ads (Facebook ads, Google ads …) is as high as possible, because: “This is the person that is holding the company account to run ads. If the business recruiting an unqualified employee may cause a few hundred million dongs to run ads, which will quickly evaporate without any effect. “
Therefore, he recommends that the salary be paid as high as possible, up to 1300USD(30 million VND). The average for the current digital marketing position is 600-700USD ( 12-17 million).
According to him, currently, universities are training marketing field quite extensively. However, most only equipped with professional knowledge, lack of environment to rub and learn. Therefore, after completing the program, students will need to practice for 3 months before graduating. “Most of the students who train at large companies will be retained by these companies. Therefore, it is very difficult for small companies to recruit good professionals.”
IM Talent was officially launched on October 23, 2019 to provide sales and marketing personnel for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The project was initiated by Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM) and IM Group. The goal of the project will be to provide 10,000 combat human resources by the end of 2020.
IM Talent provides free training to candidates from knowledge to practical skills in e-commerce, thereby providing skilled human resources for businesses.
