The content of promotional emails (email marketing content) is not the same as emails you usually send to your colleagues and partners. Not only for the purpose of sharing information, promotional emails also help build good relationships with customers, support business development.
Clear focus:
The best email marketing campaigns have a clear focus, helpful information and authentic tone that fits your brand. With that in mind, do not try to put too much in the email.
Define the main goal of the email and focus on it to avoid disrupting information for readers. If you ask people to read your blog, download an ebook, or sign up for a demo and access all your websites in an email, then they probably will not do it all. Focus on a single goal. Make sure you use strong language. “Stay tuned for this webinar on our website,” with a direct link that will appeal to the phrase “We hosted an online seminar last week.”
Take advantage of the previous documents:
The text of an email is a small line of text that follows the subject and briefly introduces the recipient to the email content. You will be comfortable reading email on desktops, but for mobile devices, it is even more outstanding. The main purpose of this is to create different emails due to the amount of emails a person receives in a day. So, write a short pre-text title if you want someone to open your email.
Try to write less than 50 characters while providing an accurate summary of what you send in the email. Important content should be focused more on the beginning of the first text. For many email platforms, the first text will be blank or dragged to the first line of the body of the post. Both of these things help to make email not too difficult to look at.
Email marketing content: Do not ignore your subject line:
We all know there are a lot of competitions in everyone’s inboxes. Your subject line should stand out from the crowd to increase email open rates. Some tips to make your subject line more appealing:
- The title is easy to understand.
- Less than 50 characters to avoid indentation.
- Active voice, more focused on verbs.
- Avoid spam languages like Save, Buy Direct or 100% Satisfied.
- Personalized with other people’s names.
- Make sure your subject line matches your copy of Email.
Answer the question: Why is this beneficial for me?
Persuasion is at the heart of emotions – so emphasize that when writing emails. Instead of saying something useful, such as downloading an ebook, explain why. You should try drawing a picture of how your ebook has content that reinforces leadership skills or relieves anxiety through a painful spot they constantly experience.
Make email visually appealing:
Well-designed elements in emails can force your readers to perform the actions you want while introducing and repeating your brand. You do not need to put so many photos in your emails. A simple email template makes your newsletter more realistic, while a small button or image in the form of a CTA can increase your clickthrough rate.
Emergency exploitation:
Emails create a sense of urgency or FOMO (Fear of being missed) generates feedback at high speed. FOMO’s mentality forces people to do something. Use the language in your subject line, pre-text, and content using FOMO – like if they do not open this email, they will miss out on an amazing deal, sale, event or something that is important.
Keep your email marketing content short:
Short emails often have a brief message and take less time to read – this makes users less likely to be flooded with emails and communications from brands. Long emails also help activate spam filters.
Research conducted by Contact shows that if there are 20 or fewer words in the text line, the clickthrough rate will be higher. To stay within these limits, imagine you are trying to convince someone to do something. Your main argument is generally brief, but convincing. If your email must be long – keep the most important information right on the first page, because when someone is viewing your message, they will see the most appropriate content right before your eyes.
Email marketing content – Use impressive statistics:
Impressive statistics or similar strategies can make your company seem more credible and help persuade readers to take specific actions. Make sure the numbers and examples are honest. Try using statistics to display values in examples such as:
- Number: This year, we helped 121 companies streamline their HR processes.
- Big name customers: See why Samsung Electronics is turning to our software to save time.
- Your reputation: We are honored to be a partner of HubSpot for three consecutive quarters.
A lot of things can be written down to a great email – from succinct copy to attractive numbers to call-to-action subject lines. With these ideas in mind, you should be ready to tackle your next email marketing campaign. If you need additional help, we are very willing to do so based on your email marketing strategies.
